What WCS yoginis are saying:

"When I first got to OM, I was scared I wouldn't 'fit in'. But the instructors and other cancer yoginis were all there for the same reason. I wept through most of the classes, while I was going through treatment - but they were tears of joy and relief mingled with tears of fear. I found myself in a room full of love, courage, endurance and recovery. I knew I was safe in that room, even after my surgeries when I could barely move. I was safe. OM has also started an OM yoga for Women's Cancer Survivor Teacher Training Course giving yoga teachers the ability to develop knowledge and experience in teaching a class themselves for Women Cancer Survivors." - student, OM yoga for Women Cancer Survivors.

Ghar Sita Mutu
House With a Heart is an orphanage & home for destitute women and children in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Ghar Sita Mutu was founded by a Beverly Bronson, a dear friend of Cyndi Lee, Beverly Bronson . We admire Beverly for her ability to go forth and live life selflessly. Whenever she sees a need, she naturally responds to it. She has been taking care of street people and friends (even including Cyndi after a tough break up with a boyfriend many years ago) without hesitation for as long as Cyndi has known her, about 25 years now.

Nepal is a south Asian country of 29 million struggling with poverty and political instability. The per capita income is just $322, and there is no government safety net for the citizens. Not nearly enough charitable organizations operate in this country, where so many people are in need. Children and women, in particular, are vulnerable in this society.

Ghar Sita Mutu creates a warm and loving family atmosphere for up to 20 abandoned children in Kathmandu, Nepal. Ghar Sita Mutu also provides traditional Nepali Music Dance and Art classes enjoyed by neighborhood children and free schooling for children whose families cannot afford for them to go to school. Free classes in sewing and crafts are offered to teach women new skills for growth and independence.

At OM yoga center, you can support Ghar Sita Mutu by personally purchasing handmade crafts in our boutique. This is excellent as a gift for someone who likes to travel and already has everything. A perfect way to feel more connected to the world. You can also donate via their website.
